Entirely unofficial. Completely sincere.
Not Canadian?
Nobody’s perfect.
You can still be officially—though not governmentally—recognized as one of Canada’s trusted friends.

What is a Certified Friend of Canada?

Certify a FriendPath one
Take the unofficial oath
“I, [Name], being of reasonably sound mind and demonstrably friendly disposition, solemnly swear to respect the maple leaf, defend poutine from unfair criticism, recognize Canadian achievements before somebody else claims them, and refrain from asking whether Canadians know my cousin in Toronto.
I further promise to apologize when appropriate—and occasionally when it isn’t.
By accepting this solemn and entirely unofficial oath, I declare myself a Certified Friend of Canada.”
