Greater Canadian Outfitters began with a map, an executive order and a very Canadian thought: surely there’s a more polite way to redraw North America.
The Great Canada is our answer—a work of alternate-history satire in which Canada waits patiently, reorganizes the neighbourhood and tries to leave everyone with a better outcome. Alaska becomes a province, Florida becomes the Canadian Snowbird Province, Hawaii receives an unexpectedly Danish future and the rest of the continent gets some long-overdue cartographic attention.
Our goal is simple: make people laugh and give Canadians—and our friends elsewhere—a good-natured way to wear the joke.
