About Greater Canadian Outfitters

Greater Canadian Outfitters began with a map, an executive order and a very Canadian thought: surely there’s a more polite way to redraw North America.

That became The Great Canada—our work of alternate-history satire in which Canada patiently reorganizes the neighbourhood and tries to leave everyone with a better outcome.

But Canada is bigger than one map.

Today, Greater Canadian Outfitters creates original collections celebrating Canadian identity, ingenuity and friendship. I’m Made in Canada recognizes the remarkable people, inventions and cultural contributions this country has given the world—with room in the middle for one more Canadian original: you. The name celebrates the person wearing the design—not where the garment was manufactured.

And for those who weren’t fortunate enough to be made here, Certified Friend of Canada offers an entirely unofficial path to recognition. Respect the maple leaf, defend poutine from unnecessary criticism and apologize when appropriate—and occasionally when it isn’t.

Our work is proudly designed in Canada. Our products are printed or embroidered to order through international production partners. Canadian design is our promise—not Canadian manufacturing. Products may be manufactured, printed and shipped from outside Canada.

We believe Canadian pride can be warm without being boastful, satire can be pointed without being cruel and good design should always leave room for a good joke.
